Seriously....yesterday driving around in my car with the windows rolled down, the music playing, in capris and flip flops, I was thinking "it doesn't get much better than this!" Then today after church a bunch of us went down to the park and had a little picnic, threw around a football for a while, and I was like "this is the life!!!!!" After months and months of long, hard, cold, dark winter....suddenly spring is upon us, and it's as if everything in nature is just screaming what God wants to do (and is doing!) in our hearts. Bringing new life, restoring hope, giving incredible joy and anticipation and expectation for the summer that lies ahead, renewing courage to dream, bringing freedom....I absolutely LOVE that every year we get a tangible reminder that God's still at work, still opening up our dry, tired, worn-out hearts to receive his love and light and presence.
Yep, today I'm praising God for spring!!!!!!!!!! :-) And I'm excited for the adventures He'll bring next as I enter this new season of hope and joy!
